Dr. Lalta Prasad has received his PhD and M. Tech. degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad. He joined National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand in August, 2018 as an Associate Professor after serving more than 20 years in the G.B.Pant Engineering College, Pauri Garhwal(Uttarakhand). He has also served as Assistant Project Engineer around three years in Delhi based consultancy company. He is also a recipient of the fund from DST for International Travel Support Scheme. He has got CRG research project of worth Rs. 24.69 lakh from SERB DST Govt of India. He has supervised 05 PhD scholars and 22 M. Tech students in the field of Manufacturing and Thermal Engineering. He has published more than 64 papers in International and National Journals.
Presently, his current research activities include: (i) Biomass gasification (ii) Solar Energy (Pv module cooling and heating); (iii) Development and Manufacturing of advanced materials (Natural fiber based composite material
