Dr. Apurba Mandal is currently working as a Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Uttarakhand, Srinagar Garhwal, India. Prior to joining NIT Uttarakhand, he finished his PhD degree in 2013 from Mechanical Engineering Department of IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India. His research interests are Vibration and structural analysis, Material characterisation, Multi-scale Modeling and FEM analysis. He teaches courses in Kinematics of Machine, Solid mechanics, Material Science and Vibrations. He has published about 21 research papers which include 07 journal papers, 04 book chapters and 10 conference papers. His other interests include devotional music, badminton and play chess & training chess player.
