Development of Novel and Sustainable Synthetic Strategies, Transition-Metal-Catalyzed selective C-H bond Functionalization and late-stage functionalization reactions of arenes. In the current scenario, the main challenges of Synthetic Chemists are the development of new sustainable methods and the application of these methods to accomplish the syntheses of different targets with diverse molecular complexities in Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Material Science, etc. Such developments promote the synthesis of many bioactive natural products. Also, the design and synthesis of new drug molecules against life-threatening diseases have become a goal for Academics and Pharmaceutical Industries to save the nation. Therefore, development of novel, green, and economically feasible synthetic protocols from time to time is highly desirable in organic synthesis. In the last few decades, it has been seen that Transition metal catalysts have taken a lead role to provide architecturally complex molecules in a more feasible way under mild conditions. Our research group is mainly involved in the development of sustainable and novel methodologies for their applications in different target-oriented syntheses. We are also focused on the development of novel strategies for Transition-Metal-Catalyzed selective C-H bond activation and late-stage functionalization reactions of arenes. We hope, our efforts will further enrich the knowledge in this field which will ultimately lead to the advancement of a broad field ranging from organic synthesis to medicinal chemistry and material science. Current Research Interest: Total Synthesis of Bioactive Natural Products. Development of Novel and Sustainable Synthetic Strategies. Transition-Metal-Catalyzed selective C-H bond Functionalization and late-stage functionalization reactions of arenes.
