Area of research mostly surrounds modelling soil using discrete approach and dynamic soil structure interaction problems, especially response due to moving load. My expertise includes the application of Finite Difference Methods, Lumped Parameter Modelling of Reinforced earth bed, Influence of dynamic loads on geotechnical engineering structures, Stability Analysis of Underground Excavations, and Ground Improvement Techniques. Our group is currently trying to incorporate the continuum approach to modelling soils and understand the validity of computational modelling of soil/rock.
