Dr. Hardeep Kumar
Associate Professor

Dr. Hardeep Kumar joined NIT Uttarakhand in June 2018, and currently working as Associate Professor. Hardeep Kumar did B.Sc (Non-Medical) in year 2002 from H.P.U. Shimla, and M.Sc. (Physics) in year 2004 from G.N.D.U. Amritsar. He obtained Ph.D. degree in Physics from IIT Delhi in 2011. He worked on Ni:SiO2 and FeCo:SiO2 thin films during Ph.D. After Ph.D, he worked as FAPESP Post-doctoral Fellow at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil during 2011-2014. Before joining NIT Uttarakhand, he also worked as Assistant Professor at Amity University UP. Dr. Hardeep Kumar has supervised two Ph.D. scholars, and currently, one Ph.D. scholar is working under his supervision. He has completed two research projects (2016-19, 2020-23) sponsored by UGC-DAE CSR, Indore. His research interests are magnetic thin films and heterostructures for spintronics applications; the role of ion beams in tailoring the physical properties, and thin films for hydrogen sensing and storage applications.
