Dr Amardeep joined NIT Uttarakhand as an Assistant Professor in 2015 in the Structure Engineering Specialization of the Civil Engineering Department. His research interests include micro-mechanical modelling and study of fracture phenomenon of cement-based materials, fibre-reinforced concrete, smart-construction material, self-healing construction materials, etc. His work focuses mostly on the experimental characterization of materials and the formulation of constitutive equations to characterize the mechanical behaviour of materials.He is also engaged in finding the effectiveness of existing mix-design schemes and optimizing them and life-cycle structure assessment based on cement-based material.
