Dr. Hitesh Sharma
Assistant Professor

Dr. Hitesh Sharma is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand. He has obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu in 2010. Subsequently, he obtained his Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2012 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra in 2021. He has a vast teaching and research experience of around 12 years. He has published 06 book chapters, 15 research papers in refereed journals, and in proceedings of reputed national and international conferences. He has won several best paper awards in international conferences. He has supervised 06 M.Tech dissertations and12 B.Tech projects. He is presently supervising 04 Ph.D. students. The research interests of Dr. Sharma include Conceptualization and Development of Green Composites, Food Waste Management, Machining of PMC’s, Artificial Intelligence, etc. He is also a reviewer of several reputed international journals. Dr. Sharma has delivered several expert / invited lectures in several reputed institutions like IIT BHU, NIT Kurukshetra, GEC Raipur, etc. and chaired technical sessions in prestigious conferences. He has also organized a number of workshops, STCs, FDPs, etc.
